Camping Bike Trip to Lexington

This was our first trip pulling our trailer. We decided to pack it up with all our camping gear and go camping for the weekend. We picked Natural Bridge, Virginia in hopes of actually going to see the Natural Bridge. Unfortunately, time got the best of us and we found a drive-in movie theater to check out, so we never made it to the Natural Bridge. Maybe next time. Other than the 100 degree temperatures riding home - it was an awesome trip!

February Snow-pocalypse

Mother Nature definately gave us a reality check and let us know who's in charge this weekend. We all took turns shoveling the snow as it came down in hopes of not having as much to do in the morning, but as you can see - we couldn't shovel it fast enough. We also lost one of the large pine trees in the backyard. We haven't really had a chance to diagnose the damages, but it looks like it may have landed on our large trailer. Lucky for us... the tree is actually part of Police Station property. So, well be calling County Services Monday.

We were able to dig the truck out this afternoon and take a little stroll around the neighborhood. We didn't have any issues getting around, but we did see several vehicles stuck in the snow. We even stopped to help some people push their car. For all of you Toyota owners... I don't care what they're saying - I love mine.

Trip to Key West

Beth and I wanted to go somewhere for my birthday where we could see and swim in "blue" water. With airfare being so expensive these days, jumping on a plane to Mexico or Jamaica wasn't in the cards this year. So we came up with the idea of trailering our bike to Mommom Ruth's house in Deland, FL and then riding the bike down to Key West. We had an awesome time. We got to visit the Manatee refuge in the Blue Springs State Park, Cape Canaveral, camp at two different KOA parks (Lion Country Safari near West Palm and Sugarloaf Key), snorkel in Key West, meet a lot of nice people, ride our motorcycle, spend time with Mommom, Aunt Mary, Uncle Wade, and Cousin Kevin, and above all spend time with each other. Here are a few pics from the trip.
